Computer Animation
Computer Animation is all done by the computer none of it is hand drawn. This is used for visual effects because its more controllable. Especially for effect shots or hiring extras. This is a good thing
Drawn Animation
Drawn Animation is where one drawing is replaced by another in a sequence, each drawing is slightly different to the one before and consist of thousands of drawings all put together and shown on a screen very fast one after the other.
Cut out Animation
Cut out animation is any form of animation where cut out shapes are moved around or replaced by other cut outs.
Computer-Generated Imagery
(CGI) is refers of three dimensional models and sets on the computer. Human characters can be built from clay other models can be used with drawings.
Model animation or Stop animation
This involves filming of puppets or any form of three-dimension models, these materials consist of plasticine, clay or wire. The shots are put together as a piece of film and will give the impression of the models moving.
