Computer Animation
Computer Animation is all done by the computer none of it is hand drawn. This is used for visual effects because its more controllable. Especially for effect shots or hiring extras. This is a good thing
Drawn Animation
Drawn Animation is where one drawing is replaced by another in a sequence, each drawing is slightly different to the one before and consist of thousands of drawings all put together and shown on a screen very fast one after the other.

Cut out Animation
Cut out animation is any form of animation where cut out shapes are moved around or replaced by other cut outs.

Computer-Generated Imagery
(CGI) is refers of three dimensional models and sets on the computer. Human characters can be built from clay other models can be used with drawings.

Model animation or Stop animation
This involves filming of puppets or any form of three-dimension models, these materials consist of plasticine, clay or wire. The shots are put together as a piece of film and will give the impression of the models moving.

This is an invention of photography to create slides.

A Zoetrope 1834
This is a cylinder with slits vertically cut in the sides.

A Paxinoscope 1877
This is got mirrors in the inner circle.

A Flip Book 1868
Flip books consist of a series of pictures or drawings that go to one page to the next. The pictures appear to animate by simulating motion.

Stop Motion
This is a general term for animation which makes objects appear to move.

Flickr is a one of the photo sharing website. its very popular and is the first one people go to, this is because its easier and understandable.

Lifehacker is the second photo sharing we look

you can create your own account and share at, this photo sharing website shows a lot of

your photos.

Smugmug is more of a professional website for advanced photographers to share there talent.

Thursday and Friday classes..
We mostly worked on our EPKs and researched more about teen screen. We made a start to our website planning. We also made posters to go with the genres of pop and dance. We did our course studies for tutorial.

Today we started working and carrying on our Teen Screen.

We are now doing Task1 in Planning and Reviewing (YCACA- Web Content) and that's got questions asking us what we did and and what were planning.

We started by comparing sites...

YouTube-more popular and its most known to people, thats why its got more views.

Revver.com-this website wasnt every knows as it has little views, and its quite slow and has more adverts. On YouTube they have things in common and can put on your favorites where as Revver.com cant do that.

Teen Screen- Teen Screen weekend is a series of events which allow young filmmakers the chance to take part in exiting workshops and screening including Sonic Arts and Script to Screen Masterclass.

When's it all happning?- Teen Screen takes place on the 1st and the 2nd of November 2009 and is a part of the Discovery Film Festival for young people held in Dundee.

Today we got split into groups and learnt about iweb and how to create our own website, we learnt how to upload photos and change the size and font of the page. We had a break and after break we compared different photo websites, i felt Picasa was best as it provided the best information and i liked the layout. One of our tasks was to take pictures of the website using grab.
